Two birds; Two continents

I watched the pied kingfisher fishing in the Blue Nile River at Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. It returned to the same perch after each flight over the water's surface.

The little fella is a superb fairy wren. As it flew from one location to another, I saw a bright flash of blue on its wings. It was nesting close to the ocean at a place called Ayer's Inlet, Victoria, Australia.
